Brazil sets Oct. 30, 2026 deadline for crypto security and AML audits Brazil’s Central Bank will require existing virtual asset providers to file a “reasonable assurance” report from a CVM-registered auditor by Oct. 30, 2026, going beyond proof of reserves to verify AML/CFT, sanctions screening, asset segregation and cybersecurity controls. Under rules effective Feb. 2, 2026, firms must also keep separate client wallets, perform regular penetration tests and maintain incident records for five years.
