U.S. spot cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds tied to 15 assets recorded a combined net outflow of about $89.4 million on Oct. 15, according to the reported daily flow data. The biggest share of the withdrawals came from Ethereum-linked products, while several other altcoin funds also posted losses.
Bitcoin was the main exception on the day, registering a small net inflow. Even with limited buying in a few products, those gains were not enough to counter broader selling across the spot crypto ETF market.
Ethereum accounted for most of the daily outflow
Ethereum spot ETFs posted $60.22 million in net outflows, making them the largest drag on the overall total for the session. That single category represented most of the money leaving U.S. spot crypto ETFs on the day.
The broader tally covered spot ETF products linked to 15 different crypto assets. With total net outflows of roughly $89.4 million, the figures point to concentrated weakness in Ethereum products alongside selling in several other altcoin funds.
Zcash, Hyperliquid and Solana also saw notable withdrawals
Outside Ethereum, Zcash-related ETFs recorded $14.76 million in net outflows. Hyperliquid products followed with $10.28 million in withdrawals, while Solana ETFs posted $9.82 million in net outflows.
The selling was not limited to those three assets. BNB, Polkadot and XRP spot ETF products also logged smaller net outflows, adding to the negative balance for the day.
Bitcoin attracted fresh money but could not offset broader selling
Bitcoin spot ETFs moved against the wider trend, posting a net inflow of $5.06 million on Oct. 15. A small amount of money also went into other products, including $1.13 million for Near Protocol ETFs and about $12,000 for Chainlink funds.
Those positive readings, however, remained too small to reverse the wider losses across the market. The overall daily picture was still defined by outflows from Ethereum and a cluster of altcoin products.
Thirty-day flows show a split between major assets
The contrast between Bitcoin and Ethereum was not limited to a single session. Over the past 30 days, Bitcoin ETFs accumulated $2.1 billion in net inflows, while Ethereum ETFs recorded $360.05 million in net outflows over the same period.
At the same time, some assets that saw redemptions on Oct. 15 still showed stronger medium-term demand. Solana ETFs brought in $201.43 million over 30 days, XRP ETFs attracted $90.58 million, and BNB ETFs added $98.61 million.
What the latest data confirms
The latest figures confirm that investor demand within U.S. spot crypto ETFs remains uneven rather than moving in one direction across all assets. Bitcoin continued to draw fresh capital on both a daily and 30-day basis, while Ethereum remained under pressure.
The next confirmed step will be the release of subsequent daily flow data, which will show whether the Oct. 15 withdrawals were a one-day shift or part of a broader continuation in allocation trends across spot crypto ETF products.
