U.S. crypto exchange-traded fund flows split sharply in the week of Sep. 28 to Oct. 2, with spot Bitcoin products still attracting money while Ethereum funds moved back into net withdrawals. Farside Investors data showed provisional net inflows of $82.9 million for Bitcoin ETFs and net outflows of $118 million for Ethereum ETFs over the period.

The Bitcoin total marked a steep slowdown from the previous week’s $2.39 billion, while Ethereum reversed after taking in $689.8 million a week earlier. The Bitcoin figures remain provisional because BlackRock’s IBIT entry for Friday was still pending.

Bitcoin inflows slow after prior surge

Bitcoin funds started the week with net inflows of $31 million on Monday and $66.2 million on Tuesday before swinging to $148.7 million in net withdrawals on Wednesday. They then returned to positive territory with $102.7 million on Thursday and a provisional $31.7 million on Friday.

Among individual products, BlackRock’s IBIT brought in $292 million from Monday through Thursday, including a $195.6 million intake on Oct. 1 after $9.5 million of withdrawals the day before. Other issuers were weaker: Fidelity’s FBTC posted $167.9 million in net outflows for the week despite a $29.3 million gain on Friday, while Bitwise’s BITB lost $38.6 million and Grayscale’s GBTC saw $54.6 million leave.

A smaller group of funds still finished positive. ARKB added $25.5 million over the week, Grayscale’s BTC fund attracted $24.9 million, and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT recorded $9.4 million in inflows. Because IBIT’s Friday figure was blank, the weekly Bitcoin total is still not final.

Ethereum swings back to outflows

Spot Ethereum ETFs opened the week with $17.1 million in net inflows on Monday, but that was followed by withdrawals on every remaining day tracked in the period: $2.8 million on Tuesday, $59.6 million on Wednesday, $55.4 million on Thursday, and a provisional $17.3 million on Friday.

Fidelity’s FETH accounted for the largest share of the weekly outflows at $74.1 million, including $26.6 million withdrawn on Wednesday and $23.5 million on Thursday. Grayscale’s ETHE lost $27.9 million, while its ETH fund posted another $11.2 million in net withdrawals.

Elsewhere, VanEck’s ETHV and Franklin’s EZET recorded net outflows of $6.9 million and $6.1 million, respectively. BlackRock’s ETHA showed a modest $6.5 million in net inflows through Thursday, while ETHB recorded zero flows; Friday entries for those products were blank.

Smaller crypto ETF segments also cooled

Solana ETFs ended the week with only $800,000 in net inflows, a sharp drop from the previous week’s $188.1 million. The category took in $7.7 million on Monday and $5.4 million on Tuesday, then saw withdrawals of $12.5 million on Wednesday and $1.1 million on Thursday before adding $1.3 million on Friday.

At the product level, BSOL brought in $1.3 million, GSOL added $5.4 million, and FSOL attracted $2.8 million. Offsetting those gains, VSOL saw $6.8 million in withdrawals and MSOL lost $1.9 million, while TSOL and SOEZ showed no flows for the week.

Other tracked funds were mixed. Hyperliquid ETFs posted $3.4 million in net inflows, as HYPG’s $8.4 million intake outweighed $5 million in withdrawals from BHYP; THYP had zero flows. In contrast, the tracked Zcash fund, ZCSH, recorded $77.6 million in net outflows, reversing the prior week’s $35.2 million inflow.

What the latest weekly data confirm

The main takeaway from the latest Farside figures is that investor demand did not move uniformly across crypto ETF categories. Bitcoin remained in positive territory, but at a far slower pace than the week before, while Ethereum shifted decisively back to net outflows.

The next confirmed step is the completion of the still-pending entries, especially BlackRock’s IBIT Friday figure, which means the Bitcoin weekly total could still change from its current provisional reading of $82.9 million. Until those entries are filled in, the reported weekly comparison remains subject to revision.
