Ripple has issued another 15 million RLUSD on Ethereum, extending a recent run of supply adjustments across Ethereum and the XRP Ledger as the company broadens the stablecoin’s role in payments.

The latest mint, tracked by Ripple Stablecoin Tracker, follows earlier moves on July 29 in which Ripple removed 15 million RLUSD from circulation on the XRP Ledger and then created another 10 million on Ethereum. After those transactions, RLUSD supply on Ethereum rose to more than $712 million.

Recent supply activity spans both networks

The new Ethereum issuance is part of a wider pattern of rebalancing between the two blockchains where RLUSD circulates. Over the past week, Ripple issued 36.5 million RLUSD on Ethereum while removing 25.3 million from circulation on the network.

That activity points to an active management of liquidity as demand shifts between venues and use cases. The source article characterized the recent transfers and burns as signs that Ripple is adjusting available supply across networks rather than expanding in only one direction.

XRP Ledger still holds the larger RLUSD base

Even with Ethereum supply moving higher, the XRP Ledger remains the larger network for RLUSD, with roughly $873 million worth of the stablecoin in circulation.

Recent changes on the XRP Ledger have moved the other way. In the last seven days, Ripple minted 65.4 million RLUSD there but burned 68.7 million, resulting in a net reduction of supply on the ledger. The contrast with Ethereum suggests the two networks are being managed differently based on current usage patterns.

Transaction volumes on XRPL continue to rise

Supply reductions on the XRP Ledger have not coincided with weaker usage, according to the figures cited in the source article. Data from RWA.xyz showed stablecoin transfers on XRPL rising 10.8% over the past month to $4.28 billion.

That increase indicates stronger transaction activity as RLUSD takes on a bigger role within Ripple’s payments ecosystem, even as the company trims circulating supply on that network.

New exchange listings and payment integrations widen reach

RLUSD also gained new access points in South Korea this week. Upbit added trading pairs against the Korean won, Bitcoin and USDT, while enabling deposits and withdrawals through the XRP Ledger. Bithumb listed RLUSD in its Korean won market and likewise supports XRPL transfers.

Ripple is also positioning the stablecoin for uses beyond exchange trading. The company’s recent investment in payments firm Notabene is set to make RLUSD available through Notabene Flow, a platform for business payments. The two companies are also exploring payment authorization services connected to Ripple Payments, which could extend RLUSD’s role in cross-border business transactions.
