Brazilian Bitcoin treasury company OranjeBTC is preparing to bring a new income-oriented exchange-traded fund to B3 in early September, according to the source report. The product, to trade under the ticker DIGY11, is designed to give local investors exposure to preferred shares issued by U.S. Bitcoin treasury companies rather than direct Bitcoin holdings.
The planned fund is expected to be concentrated in Strategy’s STRC preferred stock, with a smaller allocation to Strive’s SATA. It will also hedge U.S. dollar exposure and seek to make monthly distributions in Brazilian reais, while offering daily local liquidity.
Portfolio built around STRC and SATA
The initial portfolio is expected to lean heavily toward Strategy’s STRC preferred shares. Exame reported that STRC should account for 95% of the fund, with the remainder allocated to Strive’s SATA preferred stock.
That mix means DIGY11 is being structured around the income characteristics of those securities instead of direct exposure to Bitcoin’s spot price. The source article says the fund will prioritize the prices of STRC and SATA, distributions from the issuers, hedging costs and fund expenses.
Index target and income profile
DIGY11 aims to track the MarketVector Bitcoin Treasury Preferred Equity BRL Hedged Index. The benchmark reflects the two preferred share instruments while incorporating the cost of hedging the currency exposure back into reais.
The fund’s distributions are estimated at CDI plus roughly 3% to 5% annually, although the report notes that returns are not guaranteed. STRC currently pays about 12% annualized, while SATA pays 13% annually, according to the source material.
Fees, currency hedge and local trading
The planned ETF will charge a 0.90% management fee. It is also set up to hedge dollar exposure, an important feature for Brazilian investors buying instruments linked to U.S. issuers but seeking payouts in local currency.
If listed as planned, DIGY11 will trade on B3 with daily liquidity. The stated objective is to deliver monthly real-denominated distributions while keeping access and trading local.
Who will run the fund and what comes next
Operational responsibilities are divided among several firms. DIGY11 will be managed by 3R Investimentos, with MarketVector providing the benchmark and Banco Daycoval serving as fiduciary administrator. OranjeBTC’s role is that of product creator, adviser and anchor investor.
The next confirmed step is the intended B3 listing in early September. Until then, the reported portfolio weights, yield estimates and launch timing remain part of the plan described in the source report.
