HashKey Exchange has listed FDUSD, adding spot markets that let eligible users trade the stablecoin directly against the US dollar and use it in Bitcoin and Ether transactions.

According to a Sept. 1 press release from First Digital Labs, the new markets on the Hong Kong exchange are FDUSD/USD, BTC/FDUSD and ETH/FDUSD. The company said the rollout is available to professional investors on HashKey Exchange, which is licensed by Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission.

Three new FDUSD markets go live

The listing introduces a direct FDUSD/USD market alongside two crypto pairs quoted in FDUSD. In practice, that means users can acquire the stablecoin with US dollars on the exchange rather than routing through another stablecoin first.

HashKey Exchange also now supports BTC/FDUSD and ETH/FDUSD, allowing Bitcoin and Ether trades to be settled with FDUSD as the quote currency. The change expands the stablecoin’s utility on the platform beyond a simple holding asset.

Access limited to professional investors

The newly supported spot pairs are not open to all customers. First Digital said trading in FDUSD/USD, BTC/FDUSD and ETH/FDUSD on HashKey Exchange is limited to professional investors.

HashKey Exchange operates in Hong Kong and holds a license from the city’s Securities and Futures Commission, placing the listing within one of the region’s regulated digital-asset venues.

First Digital points to Hong Kong’s regulated market role

In the announcement, First Digital founder and chief executive Vincent Chok said Hong Kong is establishing itself as an important hub in Asia’s regulated markets. He also said stablecoins are opening new ways to connect fiat liquidity with on-chain markets.

The statement reflects First Digital’s effort to position FDUSD within exchange infrastructure that links traditional currency rails with crypto trading activity, though the company did not provide further operating details in the release.

What comes next for FDUSD

First Digital said it plans to keep broadening support for FDUSD beyond this listing. The company’s stated next areas of expansion include additional exchanges, blockchain networks and payment services.

For now, the confirmed development is the HashKey Exchange launch of the three spot pairs. Any wider adoption will depend on future integrations announced by First Digital and partner platforms.
