Canary Capital’s Staked TRX ETF is scheduled to start trading in the United States on Wednesday under the ticker TRXS, bringing to market what the firm describes as the first staked exchange-traded fund tied to the Tron network.

The product is designed to give investors exposure to TRX while also incorporating potential proof-of-stake rewards. According to Canary, any staking rewards generated through the network will be reflected in the fund’s net asset value.

A new Tron-linked fund reaches the market

The ETF’s debut adds a new US-listed vehicle linked to a major crypto network. TRX, the native token associated with Tron, has a market capitalization of $32.1 billion and ranks as the eighth-largest cryptocurrency, according to price data cited in the source report.

In a statement tied to the launch, Tron founder Justin Sun said the fund offers investors another route to gain exposure to the blockchain network. He framed the listing as a sign of broader recognition for Tron’s role in digital-asset infrastructure.

How the staking feature works

A key distinction for the fund is that it does not stop at holding exposure to TRX. Canary said the ETF also includes the possibility of receiving additional TRX through the blockchain’s proof-of-stake mechanism.

Those rewards are not described as a separate cash payout in the source material. Instead, Canary said staking rewards will be reflected in the ETF’s net asset value, linking the fund’s performance not only to the token itself but also to the network’s staking process.

Why Canary and Tron highlight payments use cases

The launch comes as Tron continues to be presented as a network with practical payment and settlement activity, particularly for stablecoin transfers. The blockchain is widely used for that purpose because of its cost and efficiency, according to the source article.

Canary Capital CEO Steven McClurg said Tron has become increasingly important as stablecoin adoption expands globally. In his view, investors are paying more attention not just to digital assets, but also to the blockchain networks being used for real-world financial activity.

Canary’s broader crypto ETF push

The TRXS launch also fits into a broader expansion by Canary Capital in crypto-linked exchange-traded products. Over the past year, the firm has brought several such ETFs to market, including products tracking HBAR, Litecoin and XRP.

The next confirmed step is the fund’s US market debut on Wednesday under the TRXS ticker. Once trading begins, it will serve as a test of demand for a crypto ETF structure that combines token exposure with staking-based return potential tied to the Tron network.
