Canary Capital has introduced an exchange-traded fund linked to Injective’s INJ token, giving investors a way to access the asset through standard brokerage accounts rather than crypto exchanges or self-custody wallets. The product also includes potential returns from blockchain staking rewards, adding a yield component alongside token price exposure.
The launch adds to Canary Capital’s existing digital-asset fund lineup, which already includes ETFs tied to XRP and HBAR. The firm said the new fund is aimed at demand for crypto products that package market exposure and staking income in a more familiar investment format.
Canary expands its crypto ETF lineup
Chief executive Steven McClurg said the staked INJ fund broadens Canary Capital’s range of digital asset offerings and reflects what the firm sees as growing institutional interest in specialized crypto networks. He said investors are increasingly looking beyond the largest cryptocurrencies toward blockchains built for newer financial use cases.
McClurg described Injective as a network designed for finance and said the ETF structure offers access through a conventional exchange-traded vehicle while allowing investors to participate in potential staking rewards. The announcement positions the product as a bridge between traditional investment accounts and onchain yield opportunities.
Injective highlights network activity and tokenization push
According to the release, more than $1 billion in assets has been tokenized on Injective. The company presented that figure as evidence that the network is gaining traction among blockchain platforms targeting tokenized financial instruments.
The same materials said that, as of Oct. 22, Injective had processed more than 3.13 billion transactions. They also said more than 7.27 million INJ had been permanently burned through token buyback mechanisms, a total valued at about $58 million. Separately, data from Token Terminal showed roughly 257,300 monthly active addresses on the network as of October.
Market reaction came during a weaker day for crypto
INJ was among the stronger performers in the top 100 cryptocurrencies over the previous 24 hours, recently rising about 5% to $8.23. That move brought its gain for the week to 10%, according to the source article.
The advance came as the broader crypto market was under pressure in a decline that the report said mirrored a sell-off in technology stocks. Bitcoin was down about 5% on the day while still trading above $76,000. The article did not establish that the ETF launch alone caused INJ’s move, but it noted the rally coincided with the announcement.
Institutional features and wider access
Injective has rolled out several products intended to support institutional adoption. These include Injective Mint, which is designed to let institutions issue and manage tokenized assets with customizable ownership and transfer restrictions, and CypherOS, a privacy-focused system for confidential trading, transactions and tokenization activity.
The network also had more than $25 million in native USDC issued onchain as of October, supporting payment and settlement uses. Eric Chen, co-founder of the Injective Foundation, said the ETF could broaden access to INJ by allowing exposure through brokerage accounts investors already use, without direct interaction with crypto exchanges or blockchain wallets.
The confirmed next step is the fund’s availability as a listed vehicle tied to INJ and staking-based return potential. Beyond that, the announcement frames the launch as part of a wider effort to connect traditional finance infrastructure with tokenized and onchain markets.
