Strategy has resumed buying bitcoin after sitting out the previous week, adding 810 BTC for about $65.5 million. The purchase was made at an average price just below $81,000 and pushed the company’s total holdings to a new high of 849,327 BTC.
The company also disclosed fresh capital and treasury moves beyond the bitcoin purchase. It said it sold 1.18 million MSTR shares for $164 million, directed nearly $100 million to its USD reserve, and repurchased $208.2 million of STRC preferred shares during the same period.
Bitcoin buying resumes
The latest purchase marks a return to accumulation for the largest corporate holder of bitcoin. The addition was modest compared with some of Strategy’s larger buys, but it still extended the company’s holdings to another record level.
Strategy had not bought any bitcoin in the prior week. At that time, it focused instead on other balance-sheet actions, while another company, Strive, carried out what was described as its largest bitcoin purchase so far.
Share sale, reserve build, and STRC repurchase
Alongside the bitcoin acquisition, Strategy reported several financing and treasury steps. The company said the sale of 1.18 million MSTR shares brought in $164 million, and that nearly $100 million of those proceeds went into its USD reserve.
It also repurchased $208.2 million of STRC preferred shares over the past week. According to the company’s update, its USD reserve now stands close to $4.8 billion, with another $132.7 million held as USD cash.
In its own summary, Strategy said it had acquired 811 BTC and repurchased about $208 million of STRC, and that as of Nov. 1, 2026, it held 849,327 BTC and roughly $4.9 billion of USD assets.
Recent financial backdrop
The update comes shortly after Strategy reported $19.5 billion in net income for the third quarter. That result arrived alongside the company’s continued efforts to manage both its bitcoin position and its capital structure.
The company had previously directed attention to STRC repurchases during the week when it paused bitcoin buying. The source article said the preferred shares had recovered to within less than 1% of their $100 par value.
Management change ahead
Strategy’s latest disclosures also coincided with a notable executive transition. Long-serving Chief Financial Officer Andrew Kang said he will leave the company on Nov. 5.
In addition to serving as CFO, Kang also held the roles of executive vice president, principal financial officer, and principal accounting officer. The source material did not provide further detail on the reason for his departure or any successor.
