Kraken is approaching the last step in a delisting process that affects 21 tokens, with users given until Aug. 27 at 14:00 UTC to withdraw those assets from the exchange. Once that deadline passes, withdrawals will be shut off permanently for the affected balances.
The exchange said any tokens left behind after the cutoff will be automatically liquidated during a window running from Sept. 1 to Sept. 5. Kraken has also warned that several of the delisted assets trade in limited or inactive markets, meaning some users could receive very small proceeds or none at all depending on available liquidity when sales occur.
Delisting cycle reaches final stage
The current deadline is the final phase of a delisting cycle that Kraken first announced in May. According to the exchange, the tokens were removed because they no longer met its internal performance or compliance standards.
Kraken already stopped trading and deposits for the affected assets on May 29. The Aug. 27 withdrawal cutoff is therefore the last remaining step for customers still holding any of the tokens on the platform.
Which tokens are affected
The 21 tokens covered by the withdrawal deadline are AURA, BIT, BOND, BSX, FARM, GARI, K, KET, KINTO, LOBO, MOON, MV, NYM, RAIIN, RHEA, SAROS, SDN, SPC, SPICE, TEA, and TEER.
Kraken said some of these assets had already become unavailable for trading before May 29, but that does not change the withdrawal deadline or the later liquidation schedule. SPC is among the recently delisted assets: trading and deposits have been disabled, while withdrawals remain available until Aug. 27 at 14:00 UTC.
Liquidation risks after withdrawals close
After the withdrawal window ends, any remaining balances will be moved into an exchange-controlled liquidation process scheduled for Sept. 1 through Sept. 5. Kraken said it will determine when the assets are sold during that five-day period.
The exchange has not committed to specific execution prices, trading venues, or settlement terms for those sales. Instead, the result will depend on market conditions at the time, which is especially significant for tokens with weak liquidity. Kraken warned that if there is not enough market activity when liquidation occurs, some balances may produce minimal proceeds or no proceeds at all.
Additional warning on TEER and what comes next
Kraken flagged TEER as carrying extra risk beyond the broader liquidity concerns. The exchange said the project has ceased operations, on-chain transactions are no longer functioning, and trading and funding remain suspended.
That makes Aug. 27 the final confirmed point at which holders can still control how and when they move these assets off Kraken. If balances remain after that time, the next scheduled step is automatic liquidation between Sept. 1 and Sept. 5, with outcomes dependent on whatever liquidity is available in the market then.
