Kraken has added Squid’s native token, QUID, to its exchange, with funding and trading going live on Aug. 4, 2026. The listing makes QUID available on Kraken’s main trading platform, while access through the Kraken App and Instant Buy is being held back until market liquidity reaches the level the exchange requires.

QUID is tied to Squid, a cross-chain platform that has been operating since 2023. According to Kraken’s listing announcement, Squid is designed to let users buy, swap, bridge and send tokens across multiple blockchains within a single transaction.

Listing goes live on Kraken

Kraken said customers can now deposit QUID and begin trading the token. The exchange also reminded users to send deposits only through networks that Kraken supports, warning that deposits made on unsupported networks will be lost.

The company did not announce immediate availability through all of its retail interfaces. Instead, it said trading through Kraken App and Instant Buy will begin once liquidity conditions are met, meaning enough buyers and sellers are active for orders to be matched efficiently.

What Squid says its network does

In Kraken’s description of the asset, Squid is presented as a cross-chain platform that has operated since 2023. Its stated goal is to simplify activity across multiple blockchains by allowing users to complete buying, swapping, bridging and sending actions in one transaction.

Kraken said Squid uses an intent-based routing engine. Under that model, solvers compete to fulfill orders using liquidity pulled from aggregated decentralized exchanges, bridges and market makers.

Scale figures cited in the announcement

The exchange included several operating metrics for Squid in the listing post. It said the platform supports more than 20,000 tokens across more than 100 chains and connects to more than 130 liquidity sources.

Kraken also said Squid has routed more than $6 billion in volume for more than 1 million users. Those figures were presented as background on the network tied to QUID rather than as independently expanded disclosures in the announcement.

Restrictions and next steps

Kraken noted that geographic restrictions may apply to the new listing, so availability may vary depending on where a customer is located.

As for broader asset rollouts, the company reiterated its standard policy of not disclosing future listings before launch. For QUID specifically, the next confirmed change is the later addition of trading through Kraken App and Instant Buy, which Kraken said will happen only after sufficient liquidity develops in the market.
