Kraken has begun funding and trading for Hippius’ SN75 token, with the exchange saying the asset went live on July 14, 2026. The listing adds support for the token tied to Hippius, a decentralized cloud storage network built within the Bittensor ecosystem.
Launch on Kraken
According to Kraken, users can now fund their accounts with SN75 and trade the token on the platform. The exchange said customers adding the asset should ensure they deposit tokens only through networks supported by Kraken, warning that deposits sent through unsupported networks will be lost.
Kraken also said access will expand in stages. Trading through the Kraken App and through Instant Buy is not immediately guaranteed at launch and will become available once liquidity conditions are met, meaning enough buyers and sellers have entered the market for orders to be matched efficiently.
Asset profile
SN75 is the native token of Hippius, which Kraken describes as a decentralized cloud storage network built on Bittensor. The project operates as subnet 75 within that network, which is reflected in the token’s name.
Kraken said Hippius is aimed at developers and businesses seeking S3-compatible object storage. Rather than relying on a single centralized cloud operator, the network uses a distributed group of hardware providers. The exchange’s description says transactions, pricing tiers and service delivery events are recorded onchain for auditability.
Storage services on the network
The exchange outlined two main products within the Hippius network. One is Arion Storage, described as a self-healing decentralized storage layer. The other is S3-Compatible Storage, which is intended to let developers move existing workloads with minimal code changes.
That positioning places Hippius in the part of the crypto sector focused on decentralized infrastructure, where blockchain-based systems are used to coordinate services that are usually offered by conventional cloud providers.
Availability and restrictions
Kraken said geographic restrictions may apply to SN75 trading. It did not specify in the announcement which jurisdictions may be affected.
The listing notice did not include further details such as additional rollout dates beyond the July 14 start for funding and trading, or when app-based and Instant Buy access might be enabled. Those features remain dependent on market liquidity, according to the exchange.
Kraken’s announcement is narrowly focused on exchange availability rather than broader commercial performance of the Hippius network. Still, it confirms that SN75 has joined the set of assets supported for trading on the platform, with wider access contingent on liquidity and any regional limitations.
