Evernorth has named Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase and BitGo as its first institutional execution partners as it moves to deploy a 473 million XRP treasury. The rollout is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 and marks the company’s first concrete step toward earning returns on those holdings rather than keeping them idle.

The announcement follows Evernorth’s recent Nasdaq debut under the ticker XRPN. In outlining the plan, the company said it chose the four firms for their institutional infrastructure, licensing, financial strength, and experience serving public companies and asset managers.

From listed company to active treasury strategy

Evernorth presented the partnerships as the opening phase of a broader XRP treasury strategy. According to the company, the goal is to put its digital asset reserves to work through institutional approaches designed for a public-company setting.

The company said the selected counterparties will support the program with risk controls, reporting, and oversight of trading partners. Those factors were highlighted alongside operational capacity and regulatory licensing as key reasons for the appointments.

Execution begins in Q4 2026

The initial deployment of the 473 million XRP position is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2026. Evernorth has not outlined specific strategy allocations in the announcement, but it framed the program as an effort to generate returns from the treasury over time.

Founder and chief executive Asheesh Birla said the company is starting with what it views as some of the strongest institutional counterparties in the sector. He added that Evernorth wants to expand alongside new XRP Ledger-based credit markets as they become available, with the stated aim of increasing XRP per share over time.

DeFi remains part of the longer-term plan

Beyond the initial institutional rollout, Evernorth said it also intends to examine decentralized finance opportunities tied to the XRP Ledger. That part of the roadmap depends on the development of native lending and on-chain credit features on the network.

The company did not present a timetable for those potential on-chain deployments. Instead, it described them as a future avenue it plans to explore as the necessary market structure on the XRP Ledger takes shape.

Investment leadership and next steps

The deployment program is being led by chief investment officer Hugo Jeandesboz, who joined the role on September 28. Evernorth said he is responsible for overseeing the treasury rollout as the company transitions from holding XRP to seeking institutional returns on the asset.

Jeandesboz previously served as co-chief investment officer at Coinbase Asset Management, where he led investment strategies for Solutions. The next confirmed milestone in Evernorth’s plan is the start of institutional deployment in Q4 2026, while any later move into XRP Ledger-based lending or credit remains contingent on those features coming online.
