Crypto payment card spending climbed to a new high in July, extending a steady run of monthly growth tracked by Paymentscan. The data provider said volume reached $748.7 million for the month, marking the fifth consecutive monthly increase.

That total was up 19.1% from June’s $628.7 million and 144.7% from $306 million in July a year earlier. Paymentscan also recorded fresh highs in activity, with 8.77 million transactions and 158,857 active addresses during the month.

Monthly volume and activity set new highs

Paymentscan said July was the strongest month yet for crypto-linked card spending across the programs it tracks. Alongside the record spending figure, the tracker reported that inflows into stablecoin neobanks topped $1 billion in July for the first time.

The same dataset showed a record $748 million in spend, underscoring how card usage and related funding activity rose together over the month. The July figures suggest continued growth in the use of crypto balances, particularly stablecoin-based funds, for everyday merchant payments.

Largest card programs drove most of the increase

The three biggest programs in Paymentscan’s data all posted double-digit monthly growth. RedotPay remained the clear leader, processing $395.1 million in July, which accounted for more than half of all tracked spending volume.

Ether.fi’s Cash card ranked next with $100.3 million, followed by KAST at $89.6 million. Karta, Wirex One and Tria were also listed among the leading programs by volume.

Smaller issuers expanded at a faster pace

While the largest providers dominated total spend, some smaller card programs grew more quickly in percentage terms. Avalanche Card rose 71.8% in July to $2.4 million, Plasma One increased 69.1% to $15.2 million, and Exa gained 52.7% to $2.3 million.

Those gains indicate that growth was not limited to the biggest operators, even if the market remained highly concentrated around a few established names.

Single-day record came during a KAST promotion

Paymentscan also logged a record daily spending total on July 20, when tracked card volume reached $36.8 million. On that day, KAST recorded $13.6 million in volume, exceeding RedotPay’s daily total.

According to the report, KAST’s spike came during a promotion held ahead of its planned token generation event in the fourth quarter. The data points to campaign-driven bursts of activity alongside the broader upward trend in card usage.

Deposits pass $10 billion as stablecoin access expands

Cumulative deposits into crypto card programs crossed $10 billion around July 1, according to Paymentscan. The tracker said that total was up about 82% year to date.

Paymentscan attributed the expansion to broader stablecoin access after the GENIUS Act became law in July 2025. In that view, crypto card programs are increasingly serving as a direct link between on-chain dollar balances and merchant payments, with future monthly data likely to show whether July’s record pace can continue.
