Weekly NFT sales climbed sharply over the past seven days, reaching about $75.54 million, according to CryptoSlam data captured on Sept. 5. The increase came even as overall transaction count declined, suggesting that fewer transfers generated more value than in the previous period.

BNB Chain led the market after posting roughly $32.75 million in organic sales, a 1,042% jump from the prior seven-day stretch. That advance pushed it ahead of Ethereum, which fell to second place with $18.94 million in organic sales.

Sales rise while activity metrics split

Across the market, NFT transactions dropped 14.77% to 650,332, even as participation increased. Buyer addresses rose 20.38% to 273,655, and seller addresses gained 18.09% to 291,266.

The figures point to a week in which more wallets were active, but the total number of completed transfers was lower. The source data does not explain the cause of that divergence, but it shows that higher sales value did not depend on a rise in transaction volume.

BNB Chain overtakes Ethereum

BNB Chain moved into first place with approximately $32.75 million in organic NFT sales. Buyer addresses on the network increased 30.84% to 22,132, reinforcing its rise to the top spot for the period.

Ethereum recorded $18.94 million in organic sales, down 14.23% from the previous week. Wash trading on Ethereum fell 56.30% to about $742,249, bringing its combined total to $19.68 million. Even with the decline in sales value, Ethereum buyer addresses still increased 21.13% to 40,098.

Behind the top two, Polygon posted $7.29 million in organic sales, up 6.12%, and logged $18.73 million in wash trading for a combined volume of $26.02 million. Polygon also had the largest buyer count among the leading chains at 94,731, up 10.67%. Bitcoin ranked fourth with $5.87 million in sales, down 34.20%, while Base rose 36.59% to $4.23 million and Solana gained 9.99% to $1.91 million.

Collection rankings show different market patterns

Courtyard, which runs on Polygon, remained the top collection with $6.32 million in sales, up 7.50%. It generated 97,050 transactions, an increase of 1.01%, while buyer addresses fell 7.63% to 17,766. Its sales accounted for roughly 8.4% of total NFT volume for the week.

Base-based Beezie ranked second with $2.64 million, up 39.39%. CryptoSlam recorded 16,521 transactions, but only nine buyer addresses and 240 seller addresses, indicating that the week’s sales were concentrated among a very small number of wallets.

Ethereum’s Argonauts placed third at $2.07 million despite a 63.54% decline in sales. CryptoPunks followed with $1.86 million, down 9.92%, while Blokyz brought in $1.48 million. Bored Ape Yacht Club reached $1.17 million, up 19.71%, and Guild of Guardians Heroes added $981,850, a 2.64% increase.

Largest reported sales included Bitcoin and DeFi-linked NFTs

The biggest individual sale in the period was a Bitcoin-based $REWD BRC-20 NFT, which sold for 10 BTC, or about $796,863, around nine hours before the snapshot. Another Bitcoin-based asset from the $X@AI BRC-20 NFT collection ranked second after a sale of 5.1158 BTC, valued at about $394,346.

CryptoPunks #1839 was the third-largest reported sale at 161.5 ETH, or roughly $394,320. The fourth-largest was Algebra Positions NFT-V2 #43, which changed hands for 365,231.125 USDT, worth about $365,231.

CryptoSlam classified both the BRC-20 transactions and the Algebra position transfer as NFT sales, although their economic structures differ from more conventional profile-picture or digital-art NFTs. The latest weekly snapshot therefore shows a market where chain rankings, collection activity and sale types remain highly mixed rather than centered on a single segment.
