BitMine Immersion Technologies said in a Sept. 21 filing that it holds 5,983,940 ETH, leaving its Ethereum treasury just below the 6 million-token mark. The company said its combined disclosed treasury assets were worth $17.1 billion at the time of the filing.
The disclosure also listed 212 BTC, $714 million in cash and marketable securities, and equity stakes in Beast Industries and Eightco. While Ethereum remains the central component of the balance sheet, the filing shows BitMine’s treasury extends beyond crypto holdings alone.
Filing gives a precise ETH total
The reported Ethereum balance is notable for its exact size. BitMine did not say it had crossed 6 million ETH; instead, the filing put the total at 5,983,940 ETH.
That distinction matters because the company’s latest disclosure supports a narrow factual conclusion: BitMine is approaching 6 million ETH, but has not yet reached that threshold based on the numbers it published on Sept. 21.
Company pegs holding at about 4.9% of supply
According to BitMine’s filing, its ETH position amounts to roughly 4.9% of the circulating Ethereum supply figure used by the company in the document.
That makes the treasury unusually large in relation to the broader ETH market, at least by the company’s own calculation. The filing, however, does not go further than stating the reported balance and the percentage derived from the supply figure it used.
Treasury includes cash, bitcoin and private stakes
Beyond Ethereum, BitMine disclosed 212 BTC as part of the same treasury snapshot. It also reported $714 million in cash and marketable securities.
The filing further listed a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and a $105 million stake in Eightco. Those positions indicate that, although ETH is the dominant treasury asset, the company’s balance sheet includes a mix of digital assets, liquidity reserves and strategic investments.
What is confirmed, and what is not
The filing confirms two core points: BitMine held 5,983,940 ETH as of the disclosure and valued its combined disclosed treasury assets at $17.1 billion.
Beyond that, the document does not confirm future purchases, a timeline for moving above 6 million ETH, or any change in strategy. For now, the next confirmed step is any later company filing that updates the size and composition of the treasury.
