Bitmine Technologies has expanded its Ethereum treasury again, adding 7,391 ETH and bringing its total holdings to 5.81 million ETH. Based on the figures cited by the company, that amounts to roughly 4.8% of Ethereum’s total supply, leaving Bitmine close to its stated goal of holding 5% of the network’s outstanding Ether.
Using an ETH price of $1,928, the company’s treasury is valued at about $11.2 billion. The latest increase continues an accumulation strategy that Bitmine began in June 2025 and that has made it one of the largest corporate Ether holders.
Treasury buildout continues
Bitmine has been steadily increasing its Ethereum position through repeated purchases since launching its treasury strategy in mid-2025. The newest buy is small relative to the company’s overall balance, but it pushes the total closer to a threshold that Bitmine has publicly highlighted: control of 5% of Ethereum’s supply.
With 5.81 million ETH now on its books, the company remains just below that target. The article did not indicate any change in strategy beyond continued accumulation, but the latest purchase shows the buying program is still active.
Most of the ETH is staked
According to the company, 5.07 million ETH of its holdings have been staked. That represents about 87% of the total Ethereum treasury and means most of Bitmine’s position is being used to generate network rewards rather than being held entirely idle.
Bitmine said its seven-day staking yield was 2.63%. If that rate were sustained, the company estimated it would imply around $257 million in annualized staking revenue. The source article noted that this is only an estimate and not a guarantee, since staking returns can change over time.
Other assets and market reaction
Beyond Ether, Bitmine also reported holding 209 Bitcoin, roughly $104 million in cash and securities, and other investments. Taken together, those assets lift the company’s combined holdings to about $11.6 billion, with Ethereum representing by far the largest share.
The company has also continued buying back its own stock. It repurchased another three million shares, bringing the total bought back since July to 19.1 million. Even so, the market response remained weak on Monday, when BMNR fell 3.61% to $18.14. The shares are down 39.66% for the year despite the rapid growth of the crypto treasury.
Price backdrop and next milestone
The valuation of Bitmine’s Ether holdings in the report was based on an ETH price of $1,928, though the source also said Ether was trading at $1,871 at the time of writing. That difference underlines how quickly the paper value of such a large treasury can shift with the market.
The next confirmed milestone is the company’s stated 5% Ethereum supply goal. After the latest purchase, Bitmine is approaching that level but had not yet reached it in the source report.
